Social Back2Netball

Over 60,000 women take part in Back2Netball sessions across the UK, realising the benefits of getting involved. From losing weight, developing the body's cadiovascular system, improving muscle tone, having fun and making friends, taking park in Back2Netball is great for you in so many ways!

At Ravens Netball Club, our Back2Netball is currently on hold due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Coached by Carey McCormick, Michelle Cross and some other club volunteers, we aim to provide a fun session to learn the skills involved in netball, along with a bit of fitness, and some game play. It's a great way to meet new people in and around Eastleigh, and if you wanted to progress into the main squads, then this is a great place to start.

Sessions are only  £4.00 per week.

What do the participants say?...

"At 44, I have had the great opportunity of taking part in the Back to Netball programme run by Eastleigh Borough Council and Ravens Netball Club.

An hour every week of refreshing my 30-year old netball skills and learning new ones in the company of like-minded people and non-judgemental, friendly and welcoming coaches. An hour where I’m not thinking about work, or the kids, or stuff I need to do. An hour for me.

We are a mixed bunch, of several different skill levels and from a reasonably wide area, spanning Winchester and Romsey.

I’ve loved each session and I leave each session feeling happy, exercised and exhausted!  The coaches are dedicated and amazing, enabling all of us to focus on our skills practice and then play a variety of different positions in a few games.

I look forward to my Netball night and really recommend it to anyone who’s thinking of getting back to Netball."
